AuthorsDr. Jiang Song-he has worked as an associate professor at the Medical College of Wenzhou, and also as vice-chief physiatrist and acupuncturist in the 2nd Affiliated Hospital of the Medical College of Wenzhou. From 2003, Dr. Jiang has worked as the Vice-Director of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department, and Director of the Acupuncture and Tuina Department. Since 1994, he has collaborated with vice-professor and neurologist Lou Xin-fa, conducting a number of acupuncture studies combining TCM theory and Western Medicine. He also has collaborated with professor Wang Xiao-tong in clinical studies, combining traditional acupuncture and tuina with physical therapy and rehabilitation. Dr. Guanhu Yang was trained at the Zhejiang Traditional Medical College and Nanjing Traditional Chinese Medical University in China. In 1993, Dr. Yang joined the staff of Toyama Medical and Pharmaceutical University of Japan and worked on the research for diabetes. Later on, Dr. Yang went to the Kanazawa Medical University of Japan and completed his Ph.D. degree in lung diseases where he also practiced Chinese Medicine and acupuncture as chief acupuncturist. After completion of his Ph. D., Dr. Yang decided to continue his research in pulmonary biology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Dr. Yang has been doing his research at Children’s Hospital from 1999 to 2005. He is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and by the Ohio State Medical Board as an Acupuncturist. Dr. Yang is currently practicing acupuncture at seven different clinic across south west Ohio. He is also the director of SHI Traditional Chinese Acupuncture School and a visiting Professor at the Medical College of Wenzhou, P.R. of China.
